Exploring the heart of Lancaster County—one backroad, barn, and bakery at a time.

Hi, I’m Sandra Burkholder—a local Realtor, blogger, community advocate, and mom passionate about helping people experience the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Wayfaring Lancaster was born from my love of exploring everything that makes this region extraordinary — from hidden-gem shops and rolling farmland to the quiet rhythm of Amish life and the entrepreneurial energy that fuels our small towns. Supporting local businesses isn’t just a passion; it’s a way to strengthen the very communities that make Lancaster so special. Welcome to my blog, About Wayfaring Lancaster, where I share my journey and insights.

Whether you’re thinking about moving to Lancaster County, investing in real estate, or just want insider favorites for local bakeries, day trips, and events, you’ll find inspiration here.

Realtor – Sandra Burkholder | Luxury Real Estate with Elevated Charm

I’m Sandra Burkholder — a Realtor with eXp Luxury who believes every home has a story and every client deserves the same thoughtful care.

With over two decades in real estate — spanning residential, commercial, inspections, and property management — I’ve learned that luxury isn’t defined by a price tag, but by the process.

For me, luxury is my process, not your price point.
It’s in the listening before advising.
It’s the white-glove attention that turns buying or selling a home into a seamless experience.
It’s marketing that stands out — reaching local hearts and global eyes.
It’s the research and insight I bring from years of understanding zoning, investment potential, and the art of presentation.
And most of all, it’s about truly understanding your goals so I can become the best advocate for you.

I’m best known for luxury homes, distinctive properties, and adaptive-reuse investments across Lancaster County, Chester County, and the Greater Philadelphia area — but I also help families and business owners with traditional residential and commercial sales, offering the same elevated service at every level.

The people I attract — investors, families, and developers — often share a similar outlook: they value authenticity, creativity, and quiet excellence. I think we connect easily because we see the world through the same lens of purpose and care.

Through eXp Luxury’s global marketing platform, I position each property to reach discerning buyers worldwide — appearing in Mansion Global, The Wall Street Journal, Robb Report, and Unique Homes. Yet my heart stays rooted here in Lancaster County, where timeless charm meets modern living.

Through my local brand, Wayfaring Lancaster, I celebrate the people and places that make this region extraordinary — from covered bridges and historic estates to the small businesses that give our community its warmth and character.

Over the years, I’ve helped clients buy, sell, and evaluate properties with both profit and protection in mind — turning overlooked spaces into enduring investments and guiding others away from potential missteps. My work is part strategist, part storyteller, and always focused on your best outcome.

If you’re looking for an advisor who blends global reach with local authenticity — someone who approaches every listing with purpose, precision, and genuine care — I’d be honored to help you write your next chapter.

Blogger – Life, Family, and Faith

I’m a mom of eight—two biological, two adopted through U.S. foster care, and four more through marriage, including two sons from the Philippines. My husband, Linford, works in construction, and together we balance a beautiful blend of family, faith, and community life.

Faith grounds everything I do. Psalms 23:4 says “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” God never promised us we would not have hard times – it inferred we would – but that God would walk with us through it all. I know that God has walked with me through many tough times and I have seen him at work in the lives of others. Tough times helps me understand others more.

John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass—it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
Vivian Greene

Community Advocate – Through Wayfaring Lancaster and Beyond

I’m a member of the Lancaster County Association of Realtors and Commercial & Industrial Council. I am also a proud volunteer with the American Cancer Society.

Through Bethany Fellowship Church, I’ve learned that God shows his love through the community of believers – the family of God.

A Few Final Words

Home is more than four walls—it’s a lifestyle.
It’s the smell of warm bread at a country market, the hum of a small-town festival, the laughter of kids playing in open fields, and the steady rhythm of a place that feels like it’s yours.

Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply exploring Lancaster County, I’d love to help you find your place here.
