Things to Do in Lancaster This Weekend (A few ideas if you’re trying to get out a bit)
Some weekends I want a plan.
Most weekends I don’t.
This is more what I’d actually do.
Start with coffee (a few places I’d actually go)

I’d probably start somewhere simple:
- Square One Coffee Roasters → they have that tucked-away garden seating in the back that people don’t always notice
- Passenger Coffee & Tea → bright, minimal, easy to sit and stay a bit
- Denim Coffee → good coffee + outdoor seating when it’s nice out
- New Holland Coffee Company → more space, easier parking, feels like you can linger
Usually I just pick one and let the rest of the morning figure itself out.
🌿 Actually get outside (a few better options)

If I’m getting outside, I’d probably do one of these:
- Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum → small, quiet, easy loop, especially nice in spring
- Northwest River Trail (toward Columbia) → flat, easy walk or bike ride along the river
- A drive out toward Strasburg or Lititz → windows down, no destination
Nothing intense. Just enough to feel like you got out.
Eat outside somewhere good

If I’m going to eat, I’d try to sit outside somewhere:
- John Wright Restaurant → right on the river, one of the better views around
- Cork & Cap Restaurant → patio feels a little tucked away and relaxed
- Annie Bailey’s Irish Public House → good downtown option with a deck
- Lancaster Brewing Company → more casual, easy, shaded outdoor seating
There are a lot of outdoor options here once the weather turns—these are just a few I tend to circle back to.
If I keep going… something like this

If I’m still out, I’d probably end up somewhere like Nissley Vineyards.
Live music if it’s there. Sit outside. Stay a little longer than planned.
And I’d probably check one local thing

This time of year there’s always something:
- small markets
- egg hunts
- random local events
I usually just check Eventbrite and pick one that looks easy.
That’s usually enough
That’s honestly a full weekend for me:
coffee → outside → food → maybe one extra stop
Nothing complicated. Just a few good spots.
